Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High

14901 Southwest 42nd Street, Miami, FL, USA

Pinecrest Preparatory Academy Charter High School and Pinecrest Academy Charter Middle-School, which we know together as our beloved Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High (PPMH), began in 2009. Now, as then, our focus is nurturing love of learning, growth mindsets, and passion for excellence. We do it by providing a seamless transition from middle school to high school on a shared campus with personalized attention, state-of-the-art technology, and the support of a community of learners.

Crocs are known for their persistence and insatiable appetites. We teach our students to be hungry for success. PPMH is about a culture of high expectations, college readiness and an innovative curriculum designed to meet the needs and abilities of its students providing a well-rounded education that focuses on the whole child.

The 6th through 12th grade concept allows our students to challenge themselves with advanced curriculum. For middle school students, that means access to classes which earn high school credit and even college credit as early as 7th grade. For high school students, that means AP courses for college credit beginning in the 9th grade. For 10th grade and beyond, our partnerships with local colleges and universities allows students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an Associate degree at the same time.

The Crocodile is also a resilient predator, the King of the Swamp. It’s that same kind of mentality which drives our students in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Most importantly, crocodiles are protective of their family. Our croc family – students and parents, faculty and staff, administration and board members take pride in the school’s growth and accomplishments.

Our school has realized its vision and continues to grow. We can be consistent in our mission and yet adaptable in our methods. Our tight-knit community fosters an enhanced sense of shared purpose alongside direct access to innovation. Our curriculum can both push and pull our students as needed. It is a perfect habitat for a community of learners. It is a perfect home for our family that nurtures love of learning, dreams of college, and expectations of achievement. That’s just the Pinecrest Way.
