JOB DESCRIPTION:
Adult Day Training (ADT) Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director / Program Director
Location: South Florida Autism Center – Adult Program Division
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: From $40,00 (commensurate with experience)
Position Summary: The Adult Day Training (ADT) Coordinator plays a vital role in the daily operation and strategic oversight of the adult day program. This individual ensures that all participants have well-developed individualized plans (IPs), that these plans are implemented with fidelity, and that communication remains strong across families, support coordinators, and program staff. The ADT Coordinator also oversees scheduling, monitors training compliance and volunteer hours, manages the waiting list, and coordinates seasonal camps and wraparound care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
Prior experience in program coordination, IP development, or service planning
Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and client data systems
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple timelines and priorities
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Working Conditions:
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Occasional evenings or weekends for events, camps, or trainings
Fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on individuals with autism and complex needs
Must be flexible, compassionate, and dedicated to adult-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
Individualized Plan (IP) Oversight:
Coordinate and facilitate all Individualized Plan (IP) meetings for ADT participants
Collaborate with participants, families, and support coordinators to develop and update meaningful IP goals
Ensure documentation is completed accurately, submitted timely, and appropriately filed
Program Coordination & Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison between the center and all external Support Coordinators (APD, CDC+, Private Pay)
Communicate consistently with families regarding participant goals, schedules, and progress
Maintain a professional, warm, and responsive relationship with families and community stakeholders
Scheduling & Documentation:
Schedule all required IP meetings, staffing, and quarterly reviews
Create and manage staff and participant schedules for before care and aftercare programs
Maintain updated tracking logs, meeting calendars, and compliance documents
Seasonal Program Coordination:
Lead registration, planning, and coordination for Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, and Winter Camp
Collaborate with instructional and support staff to develop engaging, therapeutic programming
Ensure that staffing and safety plans are in place and properly communicated for each camp session
Waitlist & Enrollment Monitoring:
Maintain and monitor an up-to-date waitlist of interested participants
Coordinate intake interviews and tours for prospective families
Support onboarding of new participants, including transition planning and file reviews
Volunteer & Training Oversight:
Track completion of required staff training (CPR, HIPAA, Crisis Management, etc.)
Manage volunteer hour logs and assign volunteers to program-support tasks
Ensure all training and volunteer records are compliant and audit-ready
Program Support & Quality Improvement:
Support day-to-day ADT operations and staff coverage when needed
Assist in coordinating special events, outings, or vocational opportunities
participate in internal audits, site visits, and continuous quality improvement efforts
