Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts is seeking an enthusiastic Elementary Computer Teacher to provide foundational technology instruction to elementary students. This role focuses on developing digital literacy, creativity, and responsible technology use in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with younger students and is passionate about helping them develop confidence and creativity through technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students foundational computer and digital literacy skills.

• Provide instruction in keyboarding, digital creativity tools, and basic software applications.

• Teach digital citizenship, online safety, and responsible technology use.

• Design engaging lessons that integrate creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

• Monitor and guide appropriate student technology use.

• Maintain organization and care of classroom technology equipment.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support technology integration when appropriate.

• Support school initiatives involving technology-based learning and projects.

• Encourage curiosity, creativity, and responsible digital habits.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field.

• Eligible for or holds a valid Florida Educator Certificate.

Desired Skills

• Experience teaching technology or computer skills to elementary-aged students.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and educational technology tools.

• Strong classroom management and student engagement strategies.

• Ability to make technology accessible and engaging for younger learners.
