Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lower Elementary Teacher to join our team. Our school integrates academics and the performing arts to inspire creativity, confidence, and academic excellence.

The Lower Elementary Teacher provides engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction for young learners while fostering a nurturing classroom environment that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction aligned with Florida standards in core academic subjects.

• Build strong foundational literacy and numeracy skills for early elementary learners.

• Use differentiated instruction and small-group learning to meet the needs of all students.

• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and independence.

• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families.

• Maintain accurate records and submit required reports in accordance with school policy.

• Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and administration.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as directed by administration.

• Support the school’s performing arts culture and community-centered mission.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an educational field or equivalent as defined by Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 6A-1.0503.

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
